Of all the recent victories for Unite members, the win at Sanctuary Housing stands out. It’s the biggest organisation in our sector where Unite workers have been in dispute.

Sanctuary Housing workers were initially given a 4% pay rise – better than the 1.75% we have received, but nowhere near good enough.
Following a strike threat, Sanctuary workers have now won an additional 9%.
No strike took place at Sanctuary because agreement was reached before the strike was due to begin. There is a lesson in this.
When we stand together, we win.
Let’s not forget that.
