Dear Comrades
The outcome of the pay ballot is decisive: 3% of voters in favour of accepting the 1.75% offer, 97% against.
Will a 1.75% pay rise cover the rise in the cost of living? Will it help you through the increases in rents, food prices, petrol prices, gas, electricity and everything else? Is it even enough to cover ONE of those major price rises?
I am calling a meeting of St Mungo’s UNITE members at 1pm on Tuesday 12 April. The purpose of the meeting is to consider what to do next.
The Zoom link to attend the meeting is below. You are entitled to paid time off to attend. Discuss this with your manager in advance and please let me know if there are any problems. Your attendance should be treated as work time for TOIL purposes even if you are not scheduled to work at that time.I look forward to seeing you next Tuesday.
